About

Hi, I'm Pelar Fullilove, Founder and Principal Designer of 37th Burleigh, an Atlanta based interior design studio rooted in refined, understated elegance and deeply intentional living.

My story starts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 37th and Burleigh. At six years old, my parents let me paint my bedroom fuchsia pink and something clicked in me from that moment on. I became obsessed with how a space could make you feel. That tiny room taught me that design wasn't just about things looking beautiful. It was about emotion, personality, comfort and self expression.

Before interior design, I worked in real estate where I found myself constantly helping clients shape the vision of their homes during the building process. Somewhere between construction meetings, finish selections and walking job sites, I realized I wasn't just selling homes. I was falling in love with the design of them. That realization eventually led me to pursue formal training in Interior Design after earning my degree in Fashion Marketing and Design from American Intercontinental University in Los Angeles and later completing my Interior Design Certification at Heritage School of Interior Design in Portland, Oregon.

Fashion taught me scale, texture, layering and storytelling. Interior design gave me a way to bring those same emotions into everyday living.

My career shifted in a major way when I was given the opportunity to design a multi million dollar spec home early on in my journey. I handled everything from finishes and fixtures to staging and styling. It confirmed exactly where I was meant to be. Since then, I've continued focusing primarily on custom homes and large scale new construction projects, creating spaces that feel elevated yet approachable, polished yet warm.

At 37th Burleigh, we believe the foundation of a home matters deeply. We are drawn to natural, organic materials that feel timeless and honest. Stone with movement. Warm woods. Layered textures. Spaces that feel collected instead of overdone. I never want a home to feel like a showroom. I want it to feel lived in, soulful and deeply connected to the people inside of it.

My work is heavily inspired by travel, architecture, fashion, wellness and the beauty found in contrast. Softness paired with strength. Organic mixed with refined. Luxury that still feels comfortable enough to actually live in.

In 2023, shortly after completing my interior design certification, life challenged me in ways I never expected. I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma and spent months undergoing chemotherapy and rehabilitation. That season changed me forever. It deepened my faith, strengthened my perspective and completely reshaped the way I view home. Now more than ever, I understand the importance of creating spaces that support peace, restoration and the way people truly live.

Outside of design, I'm a mother to my daughter Leilani, who keeps me inspired daily with her discipline, ambition and dream of one day playing in the WNBA. I'm also a certified scuba diver, free diver and breathwork coach. I find inspiration everywhere from skyline views and quiet luxury hotels to nature, art galleries and the calmness of the ocean.

As 37th Burleigh continues to grow, my vision is simple. I want to create homes that leave people feeling something. Spaces that tell stories. Spaces that feel beautiful without trying too hard. Spaces that feel like an experience the moment you walk through the door.

And honestly, I'm just getting started.
